![]() Last piece of trim is the lower steering wheel cover. ![]() There should only be 3 or so to the left of the steering wheel. Once it's loose you can remove any of the switch connectors. Once the bolts are out you pull the trim outward working your way around the perimeter. Then remove the three bolts (indicated by arrows in the diagram) holding on the lower knee trim. To do this you pull the release and while holding it out you grab the cable with a pliers and remove the lead cable end by guiding out of the slot it sits in. You will have to release the cable from the hood release handle. Once those panels are removed you can move on to the lower dash and lower steering wheel cover. Once the nut is off you can pull the panel outward to release the clips. You should be able to remove the nut with your hand. You'll see it near the top of the dead pedal. The kick panel has one plastic nut that needs to be removed. The scuff plate removes by pulling up around the perimeter, it is only held on with clips. Next you want to remove the drivers side scuff plate as well as the left lower kick panel. I believe that the SR is the only trim level that doesn't have it. My understanding is that this kit will work for anyone that is in the same situation. I have a 3rd Gen SR with power locks but no keyless entry. I just typed "keyless entry" into amazon and this is what popped up: I just wanted to be able to lock and unlock my car with a keyfob and designate my key for the ignition. No car alarm is really going to stop anyone from getting into our cars, I don't give a shit about sirens and flashing light. Last month just for the heck of it I did a little search on amazon to see what I could find. not to mention the hassle of having to put my key in the door every time I wanted to unlock or lock the car. Constantly having to unlock my drivers door was taking its toll on my keys, wearing them out quickly. I dont know about you guys but I have owned 3 MK3's and every single one only had 1 key.
